Terms

Terms of use

If you use jev-fit, the page or the API, you accept these terms.

What the tool is

You submit a short description of a software idea. An automated model answers a fixed set of questions about it. The page shows a verdict made from those answers.

The verdict is an opinion from an automated model. It can be wrong. It is not professional, technical, legal or financial advice. Make your own decision before you build or buy anything.

Acceptable use

Requests that break these rules can be blocked, and their results can be deleted, without notice.

The API

The API is free within the published limits: 5 requests per minute for each IP address, and a daily total for all users. The limits, the response format and the rubric can change at any time. The service can stop at any time. There is no service level agreement.

Paid plans

A paid plan gives you an API key with a higher rate limit and a monthly quota of new verdicts. The pricing page shows the current plans, prices and quotas. You buy access to the same verdict endpoint as the free API. You do not get the rubric, you cannot send your own questions, and there is no service level agreement. The daily total for all users applies to paid keys too.

Payments are handled by Polar, which is the merchant of record. Polar is the seller, sends the invoice, and calculates, collects and pays the VAT. Polar's terms apply to the payment.

Plans are billed each month, in advance, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time through Polar's customer portal. After you cancel, the key works until the end of the period that you paid for, and you are not charged again.

Refunds follow Polar's refund policy. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you keep your legal right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days, to the extent that the law gives it for a digital service. To ask for a refund, write to the contact address below.

Prices and quotas can change. A change applies from your next billing period, and never to a period that you already paid for.

A key is personal to you or to your company. Keep it secret. Do not share it, sell it, or resell access to the API through it. Use it within the rate limit and the quota of your plan, and do not use more than one key to go around a limit. A key that is used against these terms can be revoked.

No warranty

The tool is provided as it is, without a warranty of any kind, to the extent that the law allows. There is no promise that it is correct, available or fit for a specific purpose.

Liability

To the extent that the law allows, the developer is not liable for a loss that comes from the use of the tool, or from a decision made with a verdict. This does not limit liability that the law does not allow to limit. It does not remove your rights as a consumer.

Your text

You keep all rights to the text that you submit. You give the developer permission to store it and to process it as the privacy page describes. You confirm that you have the right to submit it.
